About this policy
This policy explains the technologies used by the Hamilton Energi catalogue website and the choices available to you. For information about personal information, enquiries and launch signups, please read our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files that a website can store on your device and read during later requests. Some last for a browsing session; others remain until they expire or you delete them. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which can keep information in your browser.
A browser may also cache images, fonts and other files to load pages faster. Cached website files are different from cookies used to recognise or track a visitor.
What the catalogue uses
The catalogue itself does not set cookies or use local storage or session storage. We have not added analytics, advertising trackers or social-media tracking pixels to the catalogue.
- Product browsing: filters, product selections, image controls and the homepage carousel work within the current page. The catalogue does not store these choices in cookies or browser storage.
- BTU calculator: calculations run in your browser. The calculator does not send your entries to us or save them in cookies, local storage or session storage.
- Shopping: this is a catalogue-only website, with no basket, checkout or payment cookies.
As these catalogue features do not create cookies, there are no catalogue cookie names or expiry periods to list.
External fonts
We use Google Fonts to display the website's typeface. Your browser requests the font stylesheet and font files from Google. These requests share technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, and your browser may cache the files.
Loading an external font is not the same as adding Google Analytics or advertising tracking. For more information about Google's processing, see Google's privacy policy and Google Fonts information.
Protected access and administration
The staging website is password-protected. Your browser may remember the authentication details for that browsing session; this is separate from a cookie created by the catalogue.
WordPress sign-in and administration are separate from ordinary catalogue browsing. If you sign in to those services, WordPress can use cookies to check browser support, keep you signed in and remember administration preferences. Blocking or clearing those cookies may prevent sign-in or end your session.
Consent and future changes
There are currently no optional catalogue cookies to accept or reject, so the catalogue does not display a cookie-consent banner.
If we introduce technologies that require your consent, we will explain their provider, purpose and duration and ask for consent before using them. You will be able to refuse them and withdraw consent as easily as giving it. Technologies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you request may operate without consent where the law allows.
Your browser controls
You can review and remove cookies and other site data through your browser's privacy or security settings. Most browsers let you block cookies for individual websites or all websites, restrict third-party cookies and clear cached files. Check your browser's help for the options available on your device.
Removing site data may sign you out or clear saved preferences. Blocking necessary cookies can affect authenticated services. Cookie settings do not necessarily block requests for external fonts; your browser may offer separate controls for external content.
Updates and contact
We will update this policy when the technologies used by the website change. The date above shows the latest update.
